What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous mediated settlement. The Tenant did not pay the required arrears and rent amounts by the deadlines set out in the settlement.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 25, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $13,874.73 in rent arrears and costs, plus $49.05 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting May 15, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 25, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest and the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
