What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (TNL-36808-22) issued on June 20, 2022. The Tenant failed to pay the full rent for November 2022 and did not make the required $100 payment towards arrears by November 1, 2022.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by February 21, 2023. The Tenant is ordered to pay $9,568.67 to the Landlord for rent arrears up to February 10, 2023, plus $32.45 per day from February 11, 2023, until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 21, 2023, interest will start accruing at 5% annually from February 22, 2023.
