What happened
Tenant applied for an order determining that the Landlord harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with the Tenant and substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex. The issues were related to fire safety, harassment from a neighbouring tenant, and ongoing snow removal concerns.
The ruling
The Landlord shall pay the Tenant a rent abatement of $1,078 and $150 for lock change expenses, for a total of $1,228, due to the Landlord's failure to adequately address the harassing conduct of the Tenant's neighbour.
