What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy of Tenant and evict Occupant. The Tenant transferred occupancy of the rental unit to the Occupant without the Landlord's knowledge.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated. The Occupant shall move out of the rental unit on or before August 15, 2020. If the unit is not vacated by August 15, 2020, the Landlord may file this order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Occupant shall pay the Landlord $34.32 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from October 1, 2019 to the date the Occupant moves out. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $190.00 for the cost of filing the application.
