What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent, damage to the rental unit, illegal use of the unit, safety concerns, the Landlord's need for personal use, and the Landlord's intent to do major repairs or renovations.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 23, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owed by August 23, 2021, the Tenant will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting August 24, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by August 23, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction starting August 24, 2021.
