What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The N4 notice was deemed defective due to insufficient notice period, so Landlords opted to claim only rent arrears under s.87 of the Act.

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlords $586.00, which includes rent arrears up to the hearing date and the cost of filing the application. If not paid by January 31, 2023, interest will be charged at 5.00% annually from February 1, 2023.
