What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, and the Tenant did not void the notice by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy will be terminated unless the Tenant pays $3,936 to the Landlord by February 25, 2023 to void the order. If the Tenant does not make this payment, the tenancy will be terminated and the Tenant will owe the Landlord $2,072.31. The Tenant must also pay daily compensation of $28.77 for each day of occupation after the hearing date.
