What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenants were still in possession of the rental unit as of the hearing date but did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants void the order by paying $7,200.00 by April 9, 2023. If not voided, Tenants must move out by April 9, 2023, and pay $4,800.00 plus $78.90 per day from February 28, 2023, until they vacate. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting April 10, 2023, if the unit is not vacated.
