What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring the Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Landlord and one of the named Tenants, SAS, attended the hearing. The Board found that SAS should be removed from the application and order as she never took possession of the rental unit.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $5,398.30, which represents the amount of rent owing up to August 31, 2021 and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by September 13, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
