What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to pay $5,000 in rent arrears by the deadline specified in a previous LTB order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 4, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $24,241.50 (less any amount paid after the application was filed) plus $51.15 per day in compensation starting March 25, 2023 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 4, 2023, they will owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
