What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenants were not present or represented at the hearing.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the rent on or before the 1st day of the month in full commencing May 1, 2021 up to and including April 1, 2022. If the Tenants fail to make any of the payments, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenants. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing on or before April 24, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
