What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the actions of the Tenant's nephew, Dave Crockett, who was laying electrical cables in the common hallway and parking his e-bike too close to the building exit, which the Landlord claimed seriously impaired the safety of other residents.

The ruling

The tenancy will continue, but the Tenant, another occupant, or a person the Tenant permits in the residential complex must refrain from laying electrical cables in the common hallway and must park any bicycle or other personal vehicle or object at least 2 metres away from any exit door. If the Tenant fails to comply with these conditions, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
