What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the LTB.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 24, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $16,591.99 (less any payments made after the application was filed) by March 24, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by March 24, 2023, the Landlord can file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenants will also owe $60.82 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting March 14, 2023 until they move out.
