Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (SWL-47735-20) issued on July 8, 2021. The Tenant failed to pay $690.00 rent on or before January 1, 2022, as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by February 18, 2022. The Tenant is ordered to pay $3,494.41 to the Landlord, representing rent arrears up to February 7, 2022, less the rent deposit and interest. Additionally, the Tenant must pay $22.68 per day from February 8, 2022, until vacating the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 18, 2022, interest will accrue at 2.00% annually from February 19, 2022.
