What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the LTB on October 31, 2022 with respect to application LTB-L-018602-22.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must vacate the rental unit by February 20, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $20,442.60 (less any payments made after the application was filed) for rent arrears and the application filing fee, as well as $67.40 per day in compensation for use of the unit from February 10, 2023 until the Tenants move out.
