What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as specified in a previous order. The Tenant failed to pay $500 towards arrears by March 1, 2020 and also failed to pay March 2020 rent by the due date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 22, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $14,193.70 in rent arrears and application fees, plus $73.97 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting August 12, 2020 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 22, 2020, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
