What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the rental unit or residential complex will undergo repairs or renovations that are so extensive they require vacant possession and a building permit.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 14, 2022. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before March 14, 2022. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by March 14, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest calculated from March 15, 2022 at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding. If the unit is not vacated by March 14, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement.
