What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as specified in a previous order. The Tenant did not meet the conditions of the previous order to pay rent arrears and current rent.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 9, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,842.74, representing rent arrears, application fee from previous order, less rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $18.08 per day in compensation for occupying the unit after June 28, 2021 until move-out. If the full amount is not paid by July 9, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
