What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to substantial interference and damage to the property. The Landlord alleged that a guest of the Tenant broke into the mailboxes of other residents, removed their contents, and damaged the mailboxes.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by November 18, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The Landlord owes the Tenant $687.39, which is the amount of the rent deposit and interest on the rent deposit. However, the Landlord is authorized to deduct $22.41 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting November 8, 2022 until the Tenant moves out.
