What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (EAL-97309-21) issued on December 14, 2021. The Tenant failed to pay $784 rent on or before January 1, 2022, as required by the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 4, 2022. The Tenant must pay $872.87 to the Landlord, representing rent owing up to January 24, 2022, less the rent deposit and interest. Additionally, the Tenant must pay $25.78 per day from January 25, 2022, until vacating the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 4, 2022, interest will be charged, and the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
