What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation by the Landlord's spouse and Landlord's spouse's parent.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 31, 2021. The Tenants must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $1,920.67 for use of the unit from September 1 to November 1, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $60.82 per day for use of the unit from November 2, 2021 until they move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by November 12, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
