What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The Tenants shall pay the outstanding rent of $4,192 in three installments by January 23, 2022. If the Tenants fail to make the payments, the tenancy is terminated effective January 31, 2022, and the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for eviction. If the Tenants make the payments, they shall pay rent in full and on time going forward.
