The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 19, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $15,356.99, which includes rent arrears up to February 8, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $46.50 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting February 9, 2023 until they vacate. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by February 19, 2023, they will owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
