What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex by storing significant amounts of personal belongings and waste in the common areas without the Landlord's consent, and for causing undue damage to the premises.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 30, 2021. The Tenants must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $2,000 for the cost of cleaning up the property, $26.30 per day for compensation for use of the unit from July 20, 2021 until they move out, and $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by July 30, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
