What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective October 1, 2021. The Tenant did not pay the total rent required for the period from May 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $4,489.70 by February 22, 2022. The Tenant must pay $2,755.34 for rent arrears and compensation up to February 11, 2022, plus $31.90 per day starting February 12, 2022, and $186.00 for application filing costs. If not paid, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting February 23, 2022.
