What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent owed. Tenant did not pay rent for August and September 2021. Tenant vacated the rental unit on September 30, 2021.

The ruling

The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $1,840.00 for rent arrears up to September 30, 2021, plus $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the full amount is not paid by February 4, 2022, interest will start accruing at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance from February 5, 2022.
