What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Tenants proposed a payment plan to pay off the arrears over 5 years, but the Landlord requested a standard 11-day order as the Tenants had not paid any rent since the application was filed.

The ruling

The Landlord's request to review the previous order is granted. The order is varied to terminate the tenancy on February 4, 2023 unless the Tenants pay the full amount owing of $32,386 by that date. If the Tenants do not pay, they must vacate the unit and the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
