What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The parties mutually agreed to resolve all matters at issue in the application and requested an order on consent.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 19, 2023, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $11,287 in rent arrears, less any rent deposit and interest. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 12, 2023, the Tenant will owe 6% annual interest on the outstanding balance. If the unit is not vacated by July 19, 2023, the Landlord may file the order for enforcement.
