What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The parties reached an agreement to resolve the matter.

The ruling

The parties agreed that the Tenant shall pay the Landlord $11,516.00 in rent arrears and costs by making monthly payments of $700.00 from December 16, 2020 to May 16, 2021, and a final payment of $7,316.00 on June 16, 2021. The Tenant shall also pay the rent for the months of December 2020 to June 2021 in full by the first day of each corresponding month. If the Tenant fails to make any of the payments, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant, and the balance owing shall become payable with interest.
