What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent and for causing undue damage to the rental unit. The Landlord also applied for an order requiring the Tenant to compensate the Landlord for the damage.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 15, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $6,899.91 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $17.39 per day starting March 5, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. The Tenant must also pay $2,500 for the cost of replacing the damaged door and $190 for the application fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 15, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
