What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The tenant failed to pay the required amounts towards rent arrears and the current month's rent.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the tenant must vacate the rental unit by February 13, 2021. The tenant is ordered to pay the landlord $5,383.20 (less any amount paid after the application was filed) for rent arrears and the previous application fee, plus $14.60 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting February 3, 2021 until the tenant vacates. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by February 13, 2021, the tenant will owe interest starting February 14, 2021.
