What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant did not pay the rent owed from June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2021, and the Landlord served a valid Notice of Termination. The Tenant was not present at the initial hearing but arrived later.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 24, 2021. The Tenant must pay $6,710.32 plus $17.03 per day starting May 14, 2021 to the Landlord. If the Tenant pays $6,881 by May 24, 2021, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy can continue.
