What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous mediated settlement. The tenant did not pay the monthly rent on or before August 1, 2020 and did not pay $300.00 in arrears on or before August 15, 2020 as required by the settlement.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 12, 2020. The tenant must pay the landlord $4,825 plus $22.13 per day from September 2, 2020 until the tenant moves out. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by September 12, 2020, the tenant will owe interest starting September 13, 2020.
