What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board on February 25, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 2, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $6,254.00 in rent arrears and application fees from the previous order, plus $14.40 per day in compensation starting March 23, 2021 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the full amount is not paid by April 2, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
