What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing, but had paid over $10,000 in rent arrears prior to the hearing.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $382.86, which represents the amount of rent owing up to September 30, 2020 and the cost of filing the application, on or before November 20, 2020. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by November 20, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
