What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on June 1, 2022, and the Landlord's application was amended to an L9 application solely for the arrears of rent and the filing fee.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $14,773.25, which includes rent arrears up to June 1, 2022 and the application filing cost, less the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 14, 2022, they will start owing interest at 4% annually on the outstanding balance.
