What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (HOL-12146-21) issued on January 18, 2022. The Tenants failed to pay $10,000 in arrears by the specified date and continued to accumulate rent arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 19, 2022. Tenants must pay $13,374.87 plus $80.55 per day from February 9, 2022, until they vacate the unit. If not paid by February 19, 2022, interest will accrue at 2% annually. The Landlord may file for eviction with the Sheriff starting February 20, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
