What happened
Landlord applied to end the tenancy and evict Tenants for committing an illegal act by growing marijuana plants in the front yard of the unit and on common areas without a Health Canada Registration Certificate. The Tenants did not attend the hearings or file a response.
The ruling
The Board ordered the Tenants to immediately cease growing marijuana in the yard of the member unit for the duration of their occupancy. If the Tenants breach this order, the Landlord can apply for termination without notice within 30 days of the breach. The Tenants must pay $190.00 for the application cost.
