What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice) and a Notice to End Tenancy for Personal Use (N12 Notice). The parties reached an agreement at the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 30, 2024. The Tenants must vacate the unit by that date. If they do not, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction starting May 1, 2024. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $17,084.88 by April 29, 2024. If they do not pay, they will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance starting April 30, 2024.
