What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 28, 2022. The Tenant must move out by that date. If the unit is not vacated by February 28, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction starting March 1, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $186 for the application filing cost. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owed by February 28, 2022, the Tenant will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
