What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (EAL-96692-21) issued on November 2, 2021. The Tenants failed to pay $500 towards arrears by November 20, 2021, as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and Tenants must vacate by January 21, 2022. Tenants are ordered to pay $13,513.81 to the Landlord, representing rent owing up to January 10, 2022, less the rent deposit and interest. Additionally, Tenants must pay $32.88 per day from January 11, 2022, until they vacate. If full payment is not made by January 21, 2022, interest will accrue at 2% annually from January 22, 2022.
