What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant did not pay the total rent the Tenant was required to pay for the period from May 1, 2021 to July 31, 2021. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on August 23, 2021.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $6,380.00 in rent arrears and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 27, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
