What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlords' child intends to move into the rental unit and occupy it for at least one year. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The Landlords' application is dismissed because the Landlords failed to provide the required compensation to the Tenant prior to the termination date listed in the N12 Notice, as per Section 48.1 of the Residential Tenancies Act.
