What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued on December 7, 2020.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 1, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $19,635.32 (less any amount paid after the application was filed) for rent arrears and costs related to the previous application. The Tenants must also pay $124.93 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting February 19, 2021 until they move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by March 1, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
