What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant failed to pay rent from November 1, 2020, to January 31, 2022. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective September 27, 2021. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 15, 2022, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $10,136.00 on or before that date. The Tenant must pay $8,986.31 plus $20.55 per day starting February 5, 2022, for rent arrears, compensation, and filing fees. If the Tenant does not pay or move out by February 15, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
