What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice). The parties agreed that the Tenants owed some arrears, but not as much as the amount claimed in the application. The Tenants have since paid the full arrears they owed.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord the filing fee of $175.00. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by February 7, 2021, they will owe simple interest calculated at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
