What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued by the Board on October 8, 2020 and amended on November 2, 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 12, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $26,034.53 (less any amount paid after the application was filed) for rent arrears and costs from the previous application. The Tenant must also pay $67.20 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting February 2, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 12, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
