What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because they require possession of the rental unit for residential occupation by their son for at least one year. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 30, 2023. The Tenant must pay $3,945.21 for use of the unit from October 1, 2022 to March 9, 2023, plus $24.66 per day from March 10, 2023 until vacating. The Landlords may file for eviction with the Sheriff if the unit is not vacated by April 30, 2023.
