What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants did not meet the conditions specified in a previous LTB order to pay rent arrears and current rent.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 3, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $7,193.56 in rent arrears and application fees, plus $81.51 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting November 23, 2023 until they move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by December 3, 2023, they will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
