What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 notice, and the Tenant did not void the notice by paying the arrears. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy will be terminated on September 30, 2023 unless the Tenant pays $9,186 by August 31, 2023 or $10,686 by September 30, 2023 to void the order. If the Tenant does not make the required payment, they must vacate the unit by September 30, 2023 and pay the remaining $7,686 plus daily compensation.
